Description
Hi. I recently purchased a used Husqvarna Viking 1100 and it was missing the stitch cassettes. The 1100 originally came with 4 cassettes, A, B, C, and D. However I was able to find a combination to make an “E” cassette work as well.
These cassettes are rare in real life because they get old, crack, and people throw them away. Because they are rare, they are expensive. (Typically $40 for a SINGLE cassette!)
The 1200 series of machines (and 1100A?) uses MORE cassettes, so I've included a “test” cassette you can play around with to try to enable more of those cassettes. Just use a piece of cardboard or index card or whatever to push down the various little switches inside the machine on the left side of the cassette. (See how there are different little slots open for the different cassettes?) There are 5 slots total that correspond to 5 little physical switches inside the machine. Different combinations of these switches will enable different stitches. If the machine beeps after you put a combination in and press a stitch button, that combination isn't allowed.
If you figure out some that work, please message me here and I'll make new files and post them here.
For any cassette you want to print, you'll need the cassette and you'll need to print out the pins/buttons. I created an “organized” version of the pins so you can just push the cassette down onto the pins while they're still on the baseplate and they should all fit in the holes. (Much easier than doing it one at a time.) However, I also included a single pin in case you need extra.
The pins don't always stay put (3d printing isn't perfect after all). I recommend placing a label over the entirety of the pins to hold them in place. You could even print out a picture of what the cassette looks like so you could identify the stitches! You'll need a label 2.25 inches tall. (Or just cut a larger one down.) The only pre-made labels with that height and enough width I found were 2.25x7.75 inches.
