foldable lens hood 52mm

this is a foldable 52mm lens hood printed in TPU.
It fits my old 52mm lenses for Nikon kameras but should work on any lens with 52mm thread.

I use it on my 50mm lenses, wide angle will get some vignette ;)

My Printsettings:
TPU 40D
0.2mm layer,
0% infill

It is very practical to simply fold the lens hood away for transport, or if it is in the way.

The rubber also protects the lens as a bumper.

I built it as a replacement for an old lens hood that has become more brittle over the decades:

I printed in PLA with 0.1 layer at the thread.

in case you do not have the original you can use this one. It works fine so far.
There is just no thread for another filter, so the lens hood should be the last in line.
 

Such a fine thread certainly depends a lot on your print quality and settings.
