Description

What in tarnation is a Cyber Garden?

This is a full set of garden tools, thematically designed for a dystopian cyber world.

The goals of this project were to:

  • function effectively as garden tools
  • have structural rigidity using PLA
  • print without use of supports
  • not require screws/magnets/bolts/etc.
  • look Cyber Truck-ish

-----

Ok Mr. Garden Hacker Man, how do I make this thing?

  1. Download tool files
    • (recommended) If using "cyber garden tools vX.Y.3mf", tools are pre-oriented and ready to print
    • If using individual .stl files, please ensure that each tool is oriented horizontally along its flat face, and box has slots facing upward
  2. Print!
  3. Check tool-to-box tolerance by inserting tools. This should not be an issue, as tolerances should be loose, not unlike your mother, but if too tight, scale up box by 1% and re-print
  4. Enjoy your homegrown cyber vegetables

-----

That's neat and all, but what if I'm hankering to print this in (insert niche filament here)?

I've only printed this using eSUN PLA+. I'd recommend a filament with strong structural rigidity, and I wouldn't recommend standard PLA for heavy gardening, but hypothetically, any relatively strong filament that isn't overly flexible or brittle should do just fine.

Changelog:

v1.0.0, 4/5/24 - initial release

Well gee golly Mr. DSB, this is darn tootin’ based, how can I say thank you?

Leave a like! Comment! Follow! Post build pics! That’s it. If you really feel so inclined, my Patreon is linked, but I’ll be happy just knowing my design is out there tending to your cyber flower garden.
