Description
Unlike screw and quick-grip clamps, these don't have enough travel and power to force far objects to be closer. But it is good for quickly holding things together and delivers enough force to crush your fingers if you try hard enough. I made a few different sizes to accommodate different printers.
Settings I used to print this:
nozzle diameter: 0.4mm
top/bottom thickness: 1mm
line width: 0.4mm
layer height: 0.2mm
perimeter: 1.2mm
infill: 20%
build plate adhesion: You might need a brim or mouse ears for the lever of the jaw. Glue stick on the build plate is good enough adhesion for me.
wall order: inside → outside
filament: PLA+
supports: Only in the rectangular hole, I use support blockers over the cam's cavity and the lever and hope my bridging settings are good enough.
Troubleshooting: I find that the clamp will slip if the fit is too tight. The jaw needs a tiny bit of wiggle to catch.
You can sand the contact areas of the jaw so they have more grip.
