Description
In this model, four flexible arms were brought together and fitted with hand clamps at the ends.
All parts are printed and no extra screws etc. are required.
The arms can be used in different ways thanks to the central connecting piece. As a holder lying on the workbench or even hanging if required.
The centre section must always be printed with support.
A print quality of 0.2 mm is sufficient, but can of course be finer.
The arm parts should be printed upright on the small ball, so no support is necessary.
Here I have also chosen 0.2 or 0.16 in quality.
For the clamps, the upper and lower clamp parts should be printed with support, just like the two T-nuts.
The threaded rod and both T-nuts should be printed in a high edge and in a quality of 0.16. Otherwise there may be problems with the thread.
The axle pin can be printed in normal quality and also upright.
Infill should be at least 30%, especially for the threaded rod.
All parts can be printed with PLA, although PETG should be preferred.
How to assemble the clamp parts.
When fitting the clamps, you should first make sure that you know which T-nut fit on which side of the threaded rod.
Attention!
left right thread
Then first insert the T-nuts into the clamps and then screw in the threaded rod until it just sticks out on the other side. Do this on both sides of the clamp.
Then you can screw in the threaded rod evenly on both sides by fixing the clamp.
The axle pin can then be inserted.
Caution!
This has a groove on one side which can only be inserted in one side.
The pin can be inserted with a little force (just a little) using a small hammer.
Then only the wing nut needs be fitted and secured with a piece of filament (the small hole on the nut and threaded pins for this purpose).
All components of the arms are hollow.
This means that a wire can be threaded through if required to give the arms a higher load capacity.
