This is a sight pusher for Glock Slides. This device will hold the slide in place and allow pushing the sights off a Glock Upper Slide. You will need the following hardware:
- 4x 5/16 Nuts
- 1x 5/16 3.75-4" Bolt
- 1x 5/16 1.25-1.5" Bolt
Recommended Print Settings:
- Material: PETG ASA ABS
- Layer Height: .2mm
- Infil: 25%
- Walls/Perimeters: 6
- Top and bottom layers: 6
- For Slide Retainer screw top
- Material: TPU ( you can use PLA or PETG, just doesn't hold as well)
- Layer Height: .2mm
- Infill: 10%
- Walls/Perimeters: 3
Assembly:
- Press fit the bolts into the caps. The longer bold goes in the “UpperKnob”, and the shorter bolt goes in the “LowerKnob.”
- Press fit a nut into the lower portion of the sight pusher frame
- Press fit bolts into the "Sight Pusher Carriage" DO NOT GLUE ANYTHING YET
- Insert the larger bolt through the top hole and start threading on the carriage. If you get binding remove one of the bolts and rotate it. Once you have good threading you can glue the nuts in with some CA glue and accelerator if you like.
- Put a nut on the end of the upper bolt and use some red thread lock to hold it in place, you want a small gap between the frame so the bolt spins freely.
- Insert the small bolt into the bottom hole and thread it in.
- Last, put the TPU cap on the bottom bolt.
Updates:
05/15/2024: Just a note, this will not work with really stubborn slides. I tried to install sights on a G34 Frame that had cerakote, and it broke the pusher carriage.
05/6/2024: Added an angled block to get better contact with some sights that have a 60º angle. Updated the PusherPuller as the tolerances where off
04/16/2024: Added a variant of the frame so you can not only remove sights but install them as well. It is an untested version but should allow removal and installation. The differences are the frame is taller, there is a hole in the frame allowing the sights to go through the frame, because of this it leaves enough room to also install sights.
- This version requires a longer 5/16 bottom bolt roughly 2"
- Recommend supports on the sight hole in the frame though not totally necessary
Enjoy!
