Description

*** If you like the file please make your “ like ”.  Every mark helps me to get a free roll out of Prusa.  Thanks…. ***

I re-sampled the original cowl so it would match and fit the original on the E-Flite 1.5m Texan. I added a support ring so the radial engine will fit nicely and allow you to glue it in place. In comparison to the original it adds very little extra weight.  Print your parts separately. There are no screw holes in either. That's for you to work out or as in the case of a buddy he used magnets to secure it to the fuse.
My apologies for not being able to link to the original motor which I have reworked as well. I found that when I first started and didn't know about tracking a file here. Kudos to the maker though.

Print the cowl facing upward and use “ support on build plate only ”.  Yes it is a long print but I couldn't find a replacement anywhere so it was my only option.  It fits like a glove so once done you should be happy with it.

EDIT: 12/23/22

  • Enlarged the motor area in the cowl to fit a newer radial a buddy mixed up to suit his model. ( unfortunately he forgot where he got his file from )
  • I've reworked a few things on the new motor to suit the Eflite AT-6 as well as make the motor fit inside the cowl.    It now looks much better than the original motor I included initially.
  • Print the motor at 10% infill without supports and at a temp of 200 degrees so the push-rods stay straight.  Print and paint according to your needs and secure inside the cowl as you see fit.

EDIT: 3/14/22    I designed an exhaust pipe for the plane.  You can find it here…   https://www.prusaprinters.org/prints/150589-eflite-15m-at-6-texan-exhaust

For some reason I'm not able to link the original cowl design while uploading so it can be found here…   https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2829345
