Description
These parts are designed to use a few solid layers on the bottom and then a continuous and unbroken profile all the way up the part. Prusa and Slic3r call this vase mode, while Cura calls it spiralize.
I was looking for a simple, easy to print air pruning pot and decided to take a little time to make my own. It's a very simple model for spiral vase, with overhangs all over the place that just sort of take care of themselves as it prints. I took inspiration from those ‘fuzzy’ vases they make using ceramic printers.
I've scaled the model by about 25% with success and it should hold up to more. There is also a file for an outer façade in case you would like to plant indoors.
Print Settings
I over-extrude to make them nice and sturdy. You will probably need to bump up your printing temperature by about 5-10°C depending on your wall speeds. I go with 30mm/s and that gets the parts nice and clean within a reasonable timeframe.
