Modular divider system for YakAttack ShortStak

A divider system used to create sections within a YakAttack ShortStak. Consists of mounting brackets, connectors, and dividers. Brackets are secured to the inside walls of the ShortStak. Connectors are secured to the bottom of the ShortStak. Dividers are slotted into the brackets and connectors, and then secured with a second matching connector on top.

Dividers

There are 2 types of dividers available:

• Anchored dividers
• Middle dividers

Anchored dividers are meant to connect to a bracket mounted to the ShortStak wall on one side, and a connector secured to the bottom of the ShortStak on the other end. The anchor side has 6 horizontal slots that align with detents on the bracket. The connector side has a notch and slot on both the top and bottom. Middle dividers are used between two connectors, and have identical sides. Stabilizer pegs on the bottom of the dividers insert into unused screw holes on the bottom of the ShortStak.

Dividers are available in multiple lengths measured in 1.5" units (the distance between screw holes). For example, an Anchored-2L divider is a divider meant to attach to a wall bracket that will extend from the wall out to the 3rd screw hole (spanning two 1.5" segments). 

Connectors

There are 4 types of connectors available:

• Straight
• Right angle
• Three-way
• Four-way

Which connector you use depends on how you want to organize the ShortStak. You will use a pair of connectors for each junction point - one secured to the bottom, and one added to the top, after the dividers are inserted, to secure them.

Installation

Once you've determined a layout for your dividers and printed all the necessary pieces, installation is relatively simple. I used stainless steel #10 ½" flat top screws to secure all pieces to the ShortStak

1. Secure brackets to outer walls with 2 or 3 screws. 
   1. Make sure to install these first - they're easier to screw in without the connectors secured to the bottom. 
2. Secure appropriate connectors based on desired layout to the ShortStak bottom
   1. Make sure connectors are oriented with the grid pattern on the bottom of the ShortStak.
3. Slide a divider into the bracket and connector, ensuring to align the stabilizer pegs with unused screw holes on the bottom.
4. Once all dividers are installed, use a second connector on the top of the dividers to secure them in place. 

Note that some dividers may have moved slightly as you installed others. Double-check that all are still flush to the bottom after completing the installation. 

Printing

All parts can be printed without supports. I would recommend PETG, ASA, or ABS to better handle the elements. Tolerances are intended to be tight to secure the dividers. I recommend printing an Anchored-1L divider, a bracket, and a connector to ensure pieces fit together. The pieces will wear a bit after the first time they're connected and be a little easier to insert/remove after that.
