Description
Here is a laser mount for the lt50/40 sawmills. May fit on the lt35 etc but haven't tested. Check bracket part number on wood mizer website.
Assembly is straight forward. Drill out the existing 3 laser mount holes in wood-mizer bracket to 5mm or 13/64th. I used metric hardware for the mouth, SAE for everything on the wood-mizer side. The stainless bolts pass through the mount into captured m5 nyloc nuts.
Install the captured nuts in the laser holder nut and insert assembly into slot in laser holder. Install m5 nut into laser holder pivot point and m3 nuts into the top hex holes for the laser module lockdown.
Follow the woodmizer instructions for electric and mounting. I did have to run a seperate ground wire to a good ground under the up/down cover. Wiring is pre installed for the positive side on newer mills. Aiming the module is straight forward, you can either mill a cant, reverse head without changing blade height, then line up the laser with the cut. I set my mill to 12in on the scale,move head to about 2 ft from the first bunk with the wood mizer bracket set to the lowest it will go. Step 1 rotate the laser module in the housing to level it with the bunks via measuring off the bunks by the log stops and at the far end, the measurement doesn’t matter you just want it the same. , one it is level lock it down with the two retaining screws, use loctite if available. Step 2, snug up the 3 screws that allow the printed bracket to slide you want to to still move but hold in place, with the laser on and a tap measure on the first bunk tap the module up until you can see the line at 12in, I find it helps to have a ruler set up on the far bunk and you want to hit 12in off both bunks the mount can go up and down and there is some slop to adjust the slope inline with your bed rail, lock in the mounting bolts once everything is lined up. Step 3 set the left and right adjustment to your preference and tighten the two bolts under the laser module holder

Disclaimer: Laser modules can cause irreparable eye damage or blindness. Do not look into laser module, be mindful of others in the area as the flat line laser can project a very wide beam.
