Welcome to Thailand!
Â
Wat Phra Si Sanphet (roughly meaning "Temple of the Holy, Splendid Omniscient" in Thai) was the holiest temple on the site of the old Royal Palace in Thailand's ancient capital of Ayutthaya until the city was completely destroyed by the Burmese in 1767. It was the grandest and most beautiful temple in the capital and it served as a model for Wat Phra Kaew, in the current Royal Palace in Bangkok. Three chedis or stupas are its distinct feature, with the typical bell shape and tall spires (from Wikipedia).
This model was originally designed by Dany Sánchez in 2015 and has now been revamped in 2024 with much more detail and perfect optimization, including no supports.Â
