Description
A 3-D model of the RUSH logotype from the cover of their 1974 debut, self-titled album. Includes slightly inset top layer (0.2mm) which can be printed in another color (red, pink, something else) as you please with a filament change in your favorite slicer. Model sits stable on a desk or shelf as a decoration.
If you want a thinner print, you can unlock axes and resize Z axis to whatever size you want, or alternately, use the object cut feature to pick a print thickness.
Printing the body in black, 2nd-to-last-layer in white, last layer in magenta closely approximates the pink version of the album cover.
Created with GhostScript, Inkscape, and OpenSCAD.
My intent is to use the publicly-available images of the logo as nominative fair use.
I make no claim on the logo's trademarks or registration
I'm not using the logo for commercial purposes of any sort.
I am not selling these logos.
I'm giving away (free) a model to allow fans of the band to create a decorative piece of art for their own use.
I'm not diminishing the brand's value.
If any rights owners would like the model removed, I'll gladly do that.
Take this model for a ride on your printer.
Don't forget you can earn Prusameter Rewards (free filament and other cool rewards!) for printing out models and posting a photo of your Make here on Printables.
