Description
Designed around this 3 piece clock kit, I wanted to make a small clock with a unique character.
The main body of the clock is printed upright with tree supports, while the arms were printed face down with no support.
Primed, used a metallic spray paint as a base layer (silver for the body & minute hand, gold for hour and second hands). Painted with acrylics, and then touched up with rubnbuff.
The arms from the kit do not fit inside the arms as is - they need to be clipped to the right length and pressed in. I used some heat to deform the PLA around the arms.
Once that is done, assemble the kit using it's instructions.
If you use a different kit, double check that everything can still fit. You can make modifications by copying the cad files from onshape: https://cad.onshape.com/documents/bd0ab5ca4c6a1b733deb7d94/w/94ac38790a4dad2ff0a72e85/e/5918fed47eda424f31329516
