Description
I don't know about everyone else, but for home film developing, I vastly prefer Jobo reels to Paterson reels, in a side-by-side comparison. I mean BIG time.
So, with that in mind, and because I have recently bought a compact developing machine that uses Paterson tanks (I still have my Jobo for large volume developing), I decided to whip up a replacement center core/rod for the Paterson tank, but this replacement is made to natively support Jobo reels without any fuss or muss. It's is really a huge game changer for me and how I develop!
NOTE: I will be providing other lengths/sizes as well. At least for the 2-reel and 3-reel Paterson (System 4) tanks, and maybe others.
NOTE 2: This model does currently work, and it works well, but I do still have some improvements that I'm going to be implementing, so keep that in mind.
PRINTING TIPS:
* Material: PLA+ or PETG (PLA is likely fine too, but PLA+ is definitely better for the temps used in C-41 and ECN-II developing)
* Nozzle: 0.4mm works good enough, as long as there is good smoosh. 0.2mm works GREAT though.
* You may or may not need to use supports for this print. That really depends on your printer and how it handles that sort of thing. The models does have two build-in micro-supports built into the bottom of the base, so those should be manually removed when the print finishes. They come out SUPER easy, since I built them into the design.
Oh, and is it worth saying that I'm not trying to start a "I prefer..." war/argument at all. We all have our preferences, and that's 10000% fine with me. My comments only reflect my own preference.
