Description

Heyho

I love the Peak Design Clip but have always found it quite annoying that the small adapter means the camera can no longer be put down without tipping over.

Now there is my solution :) The Ergobase!

I recently developed this small and lightweight stand for the PeakDesign/PGYTEch equipped camera to make it safer and cleaner to set down.

This is particularly useful if you're traveling without a lot of bags and don't necessarily want to put the camera on sticky or dirty surfaces or if there are children playing nearby xD

I also invested a lot of time so that the camera doesn't feel uncomfortable in the hand, even with the base attached, if you want to take a few quick snapshots ,-)

When you use the clip again with the Peak Design base, you can simply store the Ergobase in your trouser or camera bag. Because it is very light and flat, you can hardly feel it.

Printing instructions:

I tested the Ergobase with PLA, PETG, PA-CF and other materials. All worked fine!

If you have bridgin issues you can use support. Else they are not necessary.

Use 3-4 Perimeter  and 25%+ Infill.

If you have warping issues you can print the “ears” files or use a brim.

Have fun!'

If you have questions feel free to ask questions at any time!

“Troubleshooting”

The Ergobase is Designed in a way that the Clip will stay in place due to a press fit connection. That friction can change due to your filament and or printer tolerances and settings

  • If your printed part feels too loose you can scale the whole Ergobase up a small amount in your slicer.
  • If it is too tight you can do the same and scale the whole Base up a small amount or you heat up the ramp (marked blue in the following picture) slightly and then push into place the Clip.

Option B:

Update 21.04: Added ErgoBase Files for PGYTech Clip. (Thx to Marvin for testing it!)
