Description
Since my microscope Andonstar AD407 Pro only has the possibility to light the object from above or side and not from below (important when observing insects, leaves etc.) I designed this lightbox.
It slides on rails that are bolted to the original base. You win need two flat head M3x10 screws and three socket head M3x10 screws to assemble the rail together and attach to the microscope's base.
The main body of the lightbox can be painted on the inside with some reflective (or light) paint. The glass is optional, and can be printed in transparent PETG (this is what I did).
First glue the glass through the inside of the body, allow it to stick, then glue the bottom of the box. The rail guide of the bottom must be on the outside of the lightbox body.
After the bottom is glued and cured, you can slide the lightbox onto the rails. The original lights of the microscope must be sticked into the two side holes of the body. The two caps are optional.
The lightbox can be used as a higher stand, or it can be removed from the rails when not needed.

I'm not gonna ask for a coffee, but please make sure you give me a like if you find this model useful.
