Update 16. 10. 2023:
This cat was the second model I have ever published and luckily was quite successful. So after two years, feedback from fellow 3D printing enthusiasts and some gained experience on my side, it was time to update and improve the model. So what is new?
- No more detached ear. Sorry to everyone who had the issue. Now fixed, the body is one piece now.
- Body of the cat was smoothed. Originally it was a bit coarse. Probably not an issue when printing 10cm figure, but some people printed larger ones.
- Pumpkin was enlarged and the cut-outs for ears and neck have been resized so it will fit better.
- NO GLUING! The pumpkin mask is split correctly to front and back section and has pins to snap into locks on the cat head. Also, I found out it is not necessary to print body and head of the cat separately. You can print it in one piece. Although the chin area may print little bit coarse, the mask will cover it. So no need to fiddle with any glue. Just snap the mask in position and you are good to go.
- The stl is about 10cm big now.
- The 3mf prusa slicer project has painted supports ready. Snug supports easy to detach. By default layer size is set to 0.2mm, but the face of the mask and some parts of the body (top of the ears and top of the front paws) are set to 0.1mm layer for better finish.
- The whole figure can be printed in about 6.5 hours.

This is a halloween themed cat figure as made by my buddy artist in Blender.
I have printed it split in couple of parts.
Body and head of the cat are printed separatelly, connected by a pin. This is done in the prusa slicer project (version 2.4 beta).
Pumpkin mask is printed separately in two halves, since I don't have multimaterial :-)
Mask was a bit tight, so maybe enlarge it little bit before printing.
