Description
A friend of mine asked me to print a solution to guide/route his cables on a large Takahashi refractor. He has a motorized flat panel on the front, power box in the middle, and imaging equipment in the rear, some of which are relatively high. Using two ADM DPA-D dovetail mounts, I printed two supports with wire looms to hold and elevate a ¼" rod. At the rear end, the cables go through a loop to the various equipment.
The loom attaches to the base via 2 - M3 screws. Loom has M3 brass threaded inserts installed to receive the screws.
The rod is held in place by 2 - M3 screws in the loom passing through 2 brass threaded inserts
The cable guide loop is attached to the rod with one M3 screw passing through 1 brass threaded insert.
The ADMs are attached to the base/loom/rod assembly via 2 ¼" -20 allen socket head screws and washers. 2 brass threaded inserts are in the base to receive the screws.
Hardware:
-¼" rod,
-M3 screws with heated brass inserts,
-two ¼" -20 allen socket head screws and washers.
-two ¼" - 20 threaded brass threaded inserts
-two ADM DPA-D dovetail mounts
Used red ASA filament, 8mm nozzle, Prusa Mk3s.
Hope you find it useful.
