Sometimes it comes in handy if the filament has a pointed end. It is easier to thread, for example, into a direct drive extruder. You have to break it in with the blade of the smaller wallpaper cutter. The U-shaped spring pulls it back to its original position. It's worth sticking it in. Due to its small size, it can even be put on a key ring. The cut piece of filament falls out of the cutter by tapping it on a table. A shaft with a diameter of 3 mm is required.
