Gridfinity 5x4 rugged case - Voron Edition

I really like the parametric Gridfinity Storage box by Pred, but I don't need the stackable design. And I even like  the look of the rugged box by Whity more. So I combined both of them in a 4x5 Gridfinity box. And for all Voron lovers out there, this model contains several lids with different Voron logos you can choose from. They are designed so they can be easily printed with multi material systems.

The box holds 6U high bins and when closed prevents spilling from one bin into another one. It is designed to be sturdy enough but still as slim as possible.

Logos

Printing

.stl files are already oriented correctly. For .step you need to check yourself.

You need to print

• 1x bottom
• 1x lid (with logo)
• 1x handle
• 2x latch
• 1x seal (optional - print seal out of TPU)

Print settings

The box is printed best with the following settings:

• 3 Perimeters/Walls
• 5 Bottom/Top layers
• 20% infill
• 0.2mm layer height
• Arachne for wall generation

Multi Material Printing (lid with logo)

When you use the .step files you can simply assign different materials for the logo and the body in the slicer.

When you use the .stl files you need to split the stl to parts first before you can assign different materials for the lid and the logo.

Assembly

For assembly you need

• 6x M3x30mm screws for the hinges and latches
• 2x M3x18mm screws for the handle
