Description
If you don't want to use heat set inserts, I've also created a modular design, available on my profile, where you just have to press the holders together to expand.
After making a wall mount for inexpensive, generic micropipettes, I realized most of my fellow students don't have the wall space to properly mount them.
This version is designed to use 6 mm long M3 (5 mm OD) heat set inserts I had laying around from a Voron build, with M3x16 mm bolts.
Now with parts oriented properly!
You can fit and print both legs simultaneously on a Bambu Lab P1S bed, but if your print surface is under 231 mm across in the Y-axis you can print them one at a time at an angle.
Supports aren't really necessary, but it did make the back of the holder, where the “grip lip” of the pipette handle hooks on smoother. Everything prints with the back against the bed.
These vendors' micropipettes should fit the stand, as they all look identical:
- JoanLab
- Vevor
- IntlLab
- Westtune
- OniLab
- Genever
- Ikeme
- JVLab
- LarkSci
- General no-names (from various Chinese websites)
- Probably heaps more; this design seems super generic.
