VW T5 eCRUISE CONTROL CASE

Description
The original AutoStrada e-Cruise cruise control has been in my van for more than ten years but was broken after years of abuse by the previous operators, but it was a generic case incorrectly installed so I thought a custom version would be better all round.
This is longer with a custom contoured bottom provides better fixing on the soft foam steering wheel surround and I don't expect to have to replace it. I have embedded nuts to make removing the cover for battery replacement a simple affair.
I recommend fixing with the sort of foam tape that's used for auto badges, and screwing into the foam after pre-drilling and stabilising it first using a little cyanoacrylate (superglue).
Printing is simple but choose a filament that can deal with the expected heat beneath the windscreen. Print upright as shown (I've used 0.15 layer height) with three or four perimeters for increased rigidity (not shown in images below).
The base component requires a small amount of support to the underside of the bottom bolt structure to act as a support for the part while printing, I recommend painting as shown.
You will need 3 x M3 x 8mm screws and nuts to make future removal of the cover from the base a simple process.
Don't forget to insert the nuts at approximately 18.4mm and 67mm (varies slightly depending on the layer height you are using).
