Description
A six-cylinder radial engine is a type of aircraft engine in which the cylinders are arranged evenly around the axis of the crankshaft, forming a star shape. Each cylinder has its own piston, which moves up and down, transferring rotational energy to the crankshaft. Radial engines were widely used in aviation, particularly in World War II aircraft, due to their power, reliability, and simplicity of design. A six-cylinder radial engine had six cylinders evenly spaced around the axis of the crankshaft.
