Pool filter cartridge plug and garden hose attachment for backwashing

Living in Arizona it has reached up to 50 deg C/122 deg F in the heat of the summer.  Many of us have swimming pools to deal with this heat.   My swimming pool has a cartridge filter system.  The cartridges need to be cleaned out periodically to prevent excessive pump wear.   This is a simple plug and hose attachment to rinse from the inside out against the normal flow (backwashing).   

I kept the print pretty standard, default perimeters, infill.

I printed the test parts with PLA, and ran out during the print, hence the multicolor top piece.

The top piece was printed with hose connection on the buildplate, with supports and that seemed to work fine.

The bottom piece prints flat, very simple.

This model will have pretty limited appeal to most, but I wanted to share just showing how a printer can help out with day to day chores.
