Description
Can you still hear the sound of a NES Zapper firing? It was 3 shots then and its 3 shots now for the Snapper. We at Frantz Foam Works hope you enjoy this remix in the same nostalgic way.
Print the barrel slow and at least 0.2mm layer height
Print the barrel vertically with support enforcers under the sight lugs. Unless you have a core xy add support along the barrel the length of the sight post or it could fall on y axis jerk. Textured build plate and a brim might be enough. Do Not Add Support in the Barrel
The trigger only needs a spot of support in the pen spring guide overhang touching buildplate and the first centimeter of the bottom overhang. See picture
The Snapper assembly guide doesn't say to remove the Air Restrictor but we Remove it for maximum power. Load a dart in so the prongs stick out and twist it all free. Snip or slice it for a clear barrel. The airpath is smaller than a dart and offset so a dart can't fall in the plunger tube.
The bottom of the trigger could use a knife slice at the support removal so its smooth, a touch of silicone lube or petroleum jelly still won't hurt. It didn't require sanding this time.
The blaster will fit 3 half length darts (38mm) or 2 full length. But you really want those 3 shots to get that Duck so download and print a short dart cutting jig if you need one
