Description

Update: 5/14/2022 – Added four spaces on the top of the frame to allow for easier removal of the inner pot. G-code has been changed to reflect this.

Update: 12/01/2021 – Added a version of the frame that is just the tray for catching water. I have moved the Hexagonal Frame to its own page here.

Need a plant pot that barely fits the print bed? No Problem!

Don't like the size? Scale it down (or up if you wish) to suit your needs.

There are two parts to this, the pot (for your plant to sit in), and the frame (for your pot to sit in). While the frame is mostly for style and is not essential to print, the pot does have holes in the bottom to allow excess water to drain out. The frame is capable of catching excess water, but if you decide you don't like the frame (I'll try to not let it get to me), I have created a version that is just the tray part.

Print Settings

  • Layer Height – 0.2mm
  • Material – PETG, PLA, or other
  • Infill – 20% Honeycomb
  • Perimeters – 2
  • Top Fill Pattern – Concentric
  • Bottom Fill Pattern – Octagram Spiral

NOTE

The pot I designed is compatible with all of my frames, do not worry about the fit.

The normal pot has 3mmwn too far. thick walls. I have not printed the thinner version of the pot yet. It should be thick enough at 1.5mm, but if you print it and experience issues let me know!
