Description
A good looking Creality K1 Max Carbon Filter Attachment that fits most sponge type activated carbon filters that can be cut to size. There is also an option if you'd like to do a sponge type filter as well as carbon pellets.
Hardware:
-6 , 10mm x 3mm Magnets (after about 100 hours of print testing without the magnets, I've found that they are optional… Tolerances on this model are extremely tight, so if printed correctly everything press fits to the machine without magnets.)
-4, M3 x 8 Bolts
-1, Carbon Filter (will need to be cut to size) I just went to my local hardware store and picked them up. I'm sure you can easily find them on amazon or at your local hardware store. Here is the one I am using. I'm sure there are betters out there: https://www.homedepot.com/p/20-in-x-25-in-x-1-in-Cut-to-Fit-Electro-w-Carbon-Air-Filter-FPR-5-PFODOR2025FPR/322725788
-(after some testing, ive found that yo can also use those 3d printing carbon pellet's as well instead of the carbon filter)
Printing Instructions:
-It is recommended to download the “Complete” set. The complete set has everything oriented in its correct position.
-*if you've downloaded the complete set* Before slicing, right click the model and select “Split” and then click “To Objects”
-Select the grille models. Navigate to the top of your processes on your slicer. Select “Objects” and change the top/bottom shells to 0, wall count to 5, infill to 30% and infill pattern to honeycomb. (you can pick whatever infill patern you want, but honeycomb works best for me when it comes to making a grille pattern).
Post Processing:
-Press fit the magnets into their respective slots. (be mindful of the magnets polarity)
-Insert the bottom and top grilles into their respective slots (the fit is very tight, you'll likely have to press quite hard to get them to slot in.
-Insert the Magnet plates into the back of your K1 Max
-Cut and place the carbon filters into the accessory
-Snap the accessory to the back of the machine (also a very tight fit, will likely have to press hard to get it to pop into place)
Please feel free to ask any questions. I'm readily available.
