Description
For printing, I used ASA filament and Orca as Orca settings for ASA works better than Cura for my printer. PLA NOT RECOMMENDED! Summer is coming and car cabins can reach 100+F. This is around the point where PLA can become soft and the pedal can droop down while driving.
Settings I use to print this:
Extra things you will need:
You can find both the short and long versions of the brad hole nuts at your local ACE hardware store. If you don't have access to an ACE hardware, you can get creative and use brass inserts.
After printing, place the longer brad hole nuts into the lower location hole. You will have to cut one of them. Just look at the picture on what to cut. The shorter brad hole nuts will go into the furthest left location. You have to do the same cutting to one of them too for the top portion of the bracket.
The lower location will need 3 extra spacers. The spacers are designed to be 5mm thick but you can get creative and print your own spacers if you need the pedal to stick out more. Just don't forget to get longer bolts. The hole size I used is 8.5mm and then I drilled it out further with a 3/8" drill bit so that I can have an easy time removing the spacers.
That gas pedal can get caught under the mat and can potentially kill you.
