Description

I'm cheap. I didn't want to pay the big bucks they charge for these in style industrial look lights. I made the mounts from some wood that Home Depot was throwing out and planed it down to a consistent size.

The cord is some bulk extension cord cut to length: https://www.homedepot.ca/en/home/p.sjoow-copper-electrical-cord---142-black.1000823358.html

(SJOOW Copper Electrical Cord - 14/2 Black)

I wired the sockets in and plugs on the other end. My house has an outlet that is controlled by a switch on the wall, so this was perfect. Both lights come on when I hit the switch.

The cage follows the contour of a LED 40W ST19 Filament bulb. Some places call them Edison bulbs:

https://www.homedepot.ca/en/home/p.led-40w-st19-filament-clear-2200k---case-of-4-bulbs.1001028452.html

(LED 40W ST19 Filament Clear (2200K) - Case of 4 Bulbs)

The top of the cage fits the diameter of the socket and has a split in it so you can tighten it down with a #6 bolt. Here is the socket I used: https://www.homedepot.ca/en/home/p.medium-base-socket-push-through.1001063598.html

(Medium Base Socket, Push Through)

The bottom and top parts of the cage are screwed together with some ¼” #6 screws. I don’t use all the holes. Two screws will do.

I print top part right side up to minimize supports. The bottom piece is upside down for the same reason. You will have to use supports.

Hope you find this useful.
