Description
Due to availability and a mistake when ordering I ended up with 10 relegendable keycaps (still on their way) and 5 75mm slide potentiometers with 20mm wide fader knobs.
As I didn't want to waste anything and ordering more keycaps would take weeks I changed the layout to a 3x3 grid, made the lid fit the 75mm potentiometer and increased the spacing between them to make the wider knobs fit.
I also don't like the ideea of soldering directly to switches (just in case I want to reuse or replace them in the future) so bought a couple of kailh hotswap sockets.
Got lucky and found an excelent socket mount with diode holder, that I remixed into a tray, that fits beneath the keycap plate. This also makes it easier to work on the matrix as you just glue it in with superglue after the soldering is done.
