Description
This is a parametised model of a gel electrophoresis comb. My hope is that is will be of use to some teachers out there that may not have the resources to invest in proper classroom kits. Using the model you should be able to generate a comb that will fit just about any container with any number of teeth required.
I created this model as some teachers at my wife's school were looking to upgrade their combs that were cut from icecream buckets and could not find a comb that fit the dimensions containers.
I've included the OpenSCAD model so you can modify the parameters to change the inner and outer width for your containers. You can also change the comb width and the number of spikes on the comb. OpenSCAD is free and modifying the parameters (on the right when you open the model) is easy to do.
I've also provided a couple of STL's in the sizes that worked in my use case.
OpenSCAD Parameters
Please let me know if these parameters aren't sufficient to make a comb that will work for you and I see what i can do.
Print Settings:
I've been printing with PETG on my Bambu P1S as it has a satisfying flex to it but I imagine PLA will work just as well.
