Acustigons - easy mass printable acoustic hex-panels

May 30, 2024
Description
A friend once asked me if I could print him acoustic panels, but most of them are printed horizontally, which means that they have to be constantly removed from the printing plate. I wanted to avoid this and created some that can be printed upright without support. So that I can print 8-10 at the same time.
On average, an Acustigon uses about 93g. This means that with a new spool you have no worries at all to fully print 10 in one time.
Print without support but with brim (5mm)
There are some issues that can occur like on this picture:
Use a sharp knife or a cutter to remove that parts.
If you are using a bedslinger 3d printer, orientate the 3d print model in the running direction of the bed to avoid vibrations, try to make the bed adhesion as good as possible.
