Description
This model is a simple, adjustable, loading coil base for a portable antenna. Includes components for an attached tripod base. Per a loading coil calculator, the coil has potential for about 26 uH inductance.
As designed it has provision for 3/8-24 threaded attachments and a SO238 chassis mount connector and uses a bit over 28' of 16awg tinned copper buss wire. It uses a Keystone 209 battery contact for the contact ring contact.
Assembly of the tripod uses M3 cap head screws. The coil is anchored at start and end with M5 pan head screws. I also used crimp-on ring terminals and washers where needed. See pictures for details.
The 3/8-24 thread extension I used was this:

They were much less expensive than other alternatives I found.
I printed in ASA, using a 0.6 nozzle and 0.3mm layers.
Fusion 360 source and STEP files are included.
