Description

Low profile chisel and plane iron honing guide. No bearings are required.

Assembly

Screw both jaws all the way to the center (they should align), then attach the knob. The right side is reverse threaded, and the jaws will only go one way. Turn the knob counterclockwise to separate the jaws and install the guide pins through both jaws and screw them into the frame with the threads. You may need pliers for that. Then slip the other frame side on, and they should hold with friction. Next, install the top connector (m3x5) screws). Attach the small knob to the main screw (clockwise side) and then the roller (m3x10) screws.

The angle guide STEP file is ready for multicolor, but I included an STL for single-color printing.

NOTE:
It's best to print the roller with random seams. This will prevent a pronounced bump when you roll it across your sharpening surface.

Required Hardware:

  • 3x M3x5 head cap screw
  • 2x M3x10 (or longer) head cap screw
