Description
Here's a compact case that holds an Eleclab 7" touch screen Revision C. Since that screen is also a RPI add on, it also holds the raspberry Pi.
The case and case back should be printed separately. Use snug supports to print the case, they come off easily.
The pivot mount will need to be modified for your mounting situation, I have included the part for the mount. I mounted mine to a fishing rod holder that I had spare, so the grab collar fits onto posts that fit into that fishing rod holder. Only the top of the mount where it screws into the case (I used 10/24 screws) but any ¼ inch screw will do the job. Use a drill bit to ream out the holes for the pivot mount.
I put a slot in the back that can accommodate feeding the camera wire - in my case that stock wire is far too short to be useful due to how I mounted it on my enclosure. I'll figure out a longer wire solution eventually.
The screen “tilts” into the case, top first. You will need to bow the walls on the sides during this operation to allow the 9 pin connector and the volume/brightness wheels to pass by during the screen insert operation. It is a fairly tight fit. The case manages the bezel around the screen so you get a full window view.
The back just snaps on and holds itself well. The holes in the back allow you to bow the walls to release the back if need be.
