Description
Version 4.1 of my original steel wire stopper which can be secured with two M6 25mm screws on a 16mm thick steel wire.
It's used to indicate the maximum retraction of the steelwire into the vehicle chassi / perfect resting position to not over-bend the wire and cause damage.
Will only fit 16mm thick steel wires, will come loose on smaller diameter and causes damage on wires with bigger diameter..
Printed with PETG and tested on the steel wire of the Rotzler TR 080/70 on our Fire truck.
Our staff is instructed to keep some distance between the stopper and the opening on the vehicle to not move the stopper over the wire. See images for the perfect distance. Its okay for the printed part to touch the bottom half of the wire guide, but it shouldn't come in contact with it completely.
The .3mf file as well as the .GCODE has some reinforcements (100% infill) around the drill holes to not damage the stopper if you tighten the screws a bit too hard. Might break if not present. The .stl file does not have these adjustments.
