Description
Howdy friends,
I've put together two models which are for the ‘large’ and ‘medium’ sized (I believe), Japanese Made Vessel ‘Woody’ screwdrivers (product information). There are another two which are smaller still, and also a ‘stubby’ one but I'm yet to get my hands on that one either.
I picked these up in Japan a few years ago and they're excellent screwdrivers for the money. The only issue was I didn't have a nice place to put them and had to go digging through a tool box every time I needed one.
I've made a ‘large’ and ‘small’ model which fit the ‘large’ and ‘medium’ size screwdrivers. Next time I head to Japan I'll pick up a set of the ‘small’ ones too to complete the set.
The model itself is pretty simple and designed to be mounted on either a horizontal, or in my case, vertical piece of timber and has a cutout for the shank to make it easy to extract and insert. When I made the model I added a few variables to make it easier to adjust the model for various shank diameters, cone length etc, so if anybody needs an alteration made let me know and I can whip up a variant for you :-)
With regards to printing I just kept it really simple, PETG with basic settings, nothing too fancy. With the exception of adding 100% infill in the section where the screws torque down to prevent any crushing or splitting of the plastic.
Hope this is useful for somebody out there :-)
