Inserts for Small Paint Tubes for LR2052 Storage Box System

Designed specifically for artists, these inserts for the LR2052 Storage Box System provide a perfect solution for organizing small paint tubes. Each insert is crafted to snugly fit and protect various brands of paint tubes, ensuring they are easily accessible and efficiently stored.

Update 2024-05-18: Fixed wrong part number 1800 => 2800. The 3MF files may still display the wrong numbers in the object browser.

Design and Features

The inserts feature a grid-like design with multiple compartments, each tailored to hold a small paint tube securely. This arrangement not only optimizes space within the storage box but also allows for easy visibility and access to the colors you need. The design is minimalistic yet functional, focusing on accessibility and efficiency.

How to Print the Insert

To get the best results, I've outlined some print recommendations. You'll also find two PrusaSlicer project files as an example to kickstart your printing process:

Dimensions

The dimensions follow the LR2052 part numbering scheme, and are encoded into the filename of each model file. For example:

LR2052-2823A-T17-26.3mf

The first part LR2052-2823A follows the part numbering scheme as explained in the documentation. The model variant is encoded as follows:

• T - stands for (paint-)tubes.
• 17 - is the diameter of the hole for the tube's cap.
• 26 - is the diameter of the tube above the cap.

Locating the Model Files

I only added a small selection of model files to the file section, due the limitations of the Printables platform.

All model files for this insert can be found in the "Other Files" section, where I've organized them into ZIP files based on file format for your convenience. Choose from 3MF, or STEP files according to your preference.

Where are the STL files?

I decided to no longer provide STL files, as the 3MF format already contains a mesh based format that can be read by almost every slicer software. In case you need the STL format, please open the 3MF file using PrusaSlicer and export the model as STL from there.
