Description
I do a LOT of reloading and just purchased another single stage press, the Frankford Arsenal M-Press to supplement my progressive presses. So far I like the press and the ability to easily swap dies in a matter of seconds. What I don't like is purchasing so many of these die blocks. When using anywhere between 3 and 4 dies per caliber it can get pricey quickly.
What I have found so far is the die that puts the greatest load on these blocks is the resizing die. I have tested by resizing almost everything from .32 Auto to .44Mag cases and the blocks stand up well. I use carbide dies and do not lube those cases prior to resizing. I have yet to try any rifle cartridges yet, but those are all lubricated prior to resizing and do not expect any issues. I have used de-priming dies for everything with no noticeable problems with these blocks. The worst case being you may have to buy a few of the aluminum blocks if needed for resizing and use these for everything else.
A hole for a 8x32 screw is provided for a brass screw to lock the die from turning in the block.
