Description
01.07.2024 - Uploaded a stiffer and thinner model as I wanted to horizontally mount the turbine, at least for testing purposes. Photos of this will be uploaded once it's installed as planned.
Couldn't find an internal mount as I do not have a VzBot nor a Voron, but a customized Flying Bear Reborn 2 that I have rebuilt into Voron Trident. As I'm more like a function-over-form kind of guy, I designed this to enjoy the “turbocharger” looks of my cheapo NIDEC CPAP turbine.
In the pictures you can see a first version of the mount, but the file is second version - replaced the fillets with chamfers, reduced the standoff height by 3mm and cut pieces out to fit around the compressor housing without filing any material off. Turbine mounts in there with basically any size larger than 5mm M3 bolts with screwing them directly into the plastic. Two holes for mounting are there in case there's some flexibility needed with different mounting options, however it'll stay tight with just one scew aswell, designed for 2020 style profiles but there wont be a problem for other sizes.
Should you want to mount the turbine the other way, just print it in mirror and you have the other way available.

I personally used two voltage regulators, one for 5V PWM and other for up to 15V power. Mind that NIDEC motors want PWM signal BEFORE power is applied or it wont start.
