Garden hose bib angle adapter

This is an adapter to adjust the angle of a garden hose bib (but can be used anywhere). It has a few interesting design features to make FFF printing easier.

Design features

• Single piece model (no moving parts to tighten the female connector)
• Large body allows for printing without supports

Variations 

There are two angles that define each model: the tilt angle (what you'd expect), and the thread rotation angle (surprise!)

Because the body is a single piece, depending on the configuration of your hose bib and how much you tighten the adapter, it is impossible to ensure the tilt angle will be in the direction you want.

For each tilt angle, I've created four rotation angles: 000, 090, 180, and 270 degrees. The actual angle you need will fall between two of those. To determine which is best, try printing all four and use a washer to provide some flexibility. You'll need to adjust by at most ¼ turn, which the washer should allow.

The models are identified by writing around the female connector end:

• nn° is the tilt angle (45°, 60°, 75°, 90°)
• nnn is the rotation angle (000, 090, 180, 270)

Printing instructions

• Choose your tilt angle.
• Print one or more of the rotation angle .stl files as oriented (GHM end on the print bed).
• Consider a brim for the higher tilt angles.

Installation instructions

• Try the different rotation angles with a washer to see which one fits best and gets the tilt in the correct position.
• You can also try without a washer.

Notes
