Description

Finally, a filter seive/strainer that fits any of my parametric-style funnels.

The models here for download fit any of my standard STL's with 70mm diameter funnels including the ventilated version.

You can simply adjust the dimensions to suit your custom funnel by downloading and following the instructions in the SOURCE CODE pdf file attached.

VARIABLES

The parametric document has been drawn to allow diameters to suit any of the funnels in my PARAMETRIC FUNNEL COLLECTION

The strainer mesh is variable although I don't recommend printing below 1.2mm unless you have a lot of confidence in your printer tune!


STRAINER SIZE
To simplify printing for most cases, I have limited the size of the strainer.

If you have a very large funnel top, and a small hole size, the strainer will appear as a square section in the bottom, there is nothing wrong, and in most cases the total area will exceed that of the funnel stem.   (Model shown 170mm diameter)

MAXIMUM WALL THICKNESS

This model is not suitable for use with a funnel wall thickness in excess of 1.5mm (which is the default on my parametric funnels)  If you require a greater thickness for whatever reason, please message me and I will happily create one sized to suit your needs.

PRINTING 

I printed my tests in PETG as I thought that would be a fair test of stringing at small aperture sizes - even at 1.2mm the holes in the strainer were quite usable although I think for practical purposes that is probably the minimum I would use - filter paper is designed for smaller particles and my LABORATORY FUNNELS have been designed to suit that application.
