Description
This is a set of holders for Adafruit IR Beam Break Sensors. I am working on version 2.0 to address too small of a hole to fish the wires through on the bottom of the right side one. You might be able to see, but I temporarily took a set of needle nose pliers to crimp the gap open a bit further. Also, I am going to move the sensor opening on the right one 1.5mm back. The left side is near perfect with zero issues. As they are, though, they do work and hold the sensors in perfectly with no extra support needing to keep the sensors in place. I did add mounting holes on the base, but the bottom hole on both sides is placed just off center so as not to interfere with the wires coming out of the sensors. If looking to separate the two pieces so as to only print 1 or, if like me, to print one side at a time to test them out first, when in your slicer, preform a cut, but put the cut plane at 90 degrees vertical between the two parts, keep both objects, and keep them same orientation. I have found to print them as separate pieces, you will need to move one to the back and one to the front so as not to interfere with the extruder head. Happy Printing!
