Distance and Depth Seed Planting Jig

After hand planting a row of seeds, I thought there has to be better way to set the depth and distance. This jig should make planting easier, faster and more accurate.

The large dibber (orange in photos) is used for larger seeds eg, beans, peas, etc. It can be set to a depth of ¼-2 inches (approx. 7-52 mm) using the marking guide on the dibber. The spacing holes are friction fit with small dibbers (yellow in photos). These dibbers can be used to mark the next hole(s) for the large dibber or used alone for planting smaller seeds.

The large dibber is printed at an angle to increase the strength of the print and avoid layer separation when screwing it on or off. I printed using:

• 0.4 nozzle
• 0.16 or 0.2 layer height
• No supports
