It is NOT advised to print this model unmodified. You will at least need a Dremel to even out the rough areas.
I uploaded this model because I wanted for it to get out for others to improve. Not that I'm pushing the responsibilities on other people, I just don't have the patience to complete it.
Things you need to know about:
- The holes can be too small.
- It's a wonky fit.
- The clips can break off easily when removing supports. Be sure to pay extra attention to them.
- The Fusion 360 project, 3MF and STL all lack the icons and text embedded in the shell. The .STEP doesn't. I have the reference scan in the .f3d if you'd like to make them better.
Print Settings:
- 0.05mm layer height
- eSUN White PETG
- Fuzzy skin (Outside walls, 0.05mm point distance, 0.05mm thickness)
- Honeycomb pattern support material
- Printed with the bottom facing up (so it looks like a dome)
Of course, Wesk's scans at Bitbuilt have really helped me with making this model at least decently accurate: https://bitbuilt.net/forums/index.php?threads/new-3ds-xl-scan.6211/
Enjoy editing the model! Hopefully you're more patient that I am.
And yes, I don't have screws.
