For all Ed Sheeran fans, I created a set of 3D printable abstractions to represent his discography.

This can be used as a beverage coaster, or just for display. It is square like a CD or vinyl album sleeve.

I changed and simplified the cover so that it has a unified style with the other ones, and to avoid lithophane-ish photography or images, keeping it simple with vector shapes that look great when printed.

--------Print instructions----------

Infill at least 15% to hold top layers or text above, but you can play with patterns and higher percentages.
I didn't use brims or rafts, but you can if you experience warping, especially in the square corners. Temporary water-based adhesive is useful too.

Input shaper ok.

  • No supports

  • Pause-and-change-filament at certain heights to have different colors, even with a regular FDM setup. Start with black, then change to yellow.

  • Scale to whatever size is convenient for you. If the height is too deep you can scale it down in the Z axis.

  • Feel free to experiment with colors and top fill patterns.

  • Adaptive layers can help speed up through just square parts, and then have more resolution on text above.

I printed the one you see in my photos with monotonic lines top infill pattern for a clean finish.
