Mung Bean Bubbleponics Sprouter

A Mung Bean Bubbleponics Sprouter which uses an air-stone and pump to grow healthy sprouts. The airstone provides oxygen to the roots and prevents stagnant water, a classic hydroponics system applied to sprouting.

Mung Beans are nutritious, easy to grow, and make a great addition to dishes like Chop Suey, Stir Fry, and Pad Thai.

Created as a mothers day gift.

Instructions:

• You will need a small air pump, air-stone (up to 80mm, round), and soft tubing.
• Print using a food safe material and slicer settings suitable for creating watertight prints.
• A 2-3L / min air pump is recommended if using the full size 80mm stone
• The lid can be printed in vase mode, or just turn off infill and top layers
• There are two versions of the basin, one has tabs if you find the lid gets knocked off too often. Print with at most 1mm walls on the lid if using the version with tabs.
• Be sure to clean after every batch by soaking with a bit of bleach water or washing with vinegar.
• Sprouts get all the nutrition they need from the seed as well as micronutrients from the tap water, they do not need any added fertilizer.
