I present to you today what is (in my opinion) my cutest birdhouse I have made to date! Some are fun, others are super detailed, but this one definitely grabbed my heart in terms of cuteness.

May was the month of the bees, and this design has been requested more than once over the past year. So I decided it was the perfect time to release this design!

The project is super simple and only has a few pieces! However, there are some things you need to know:

-No supports are needed. I made the interior of the hive avoiding complex overhangs and everything printed very easily.

-The complete project is printable on a "mini" type printer and can also be printed larger. I'll tell you more about it below.

-Although multi-colored, the bees body and flower can be printed by all printers with simple color changes. If you are not familiar with color changes, simply send me a private message with the type of slicer you are using and I will be happy to send you links and tutorials.

-There are three ways to install it: With the bracket that I have been using from the beginning, with the bracket that mounts on top of a pole and also suspended by a rope. In the last case, a stabilizing ring is present on the bottom door to prevent the bird house from turning in the wind. Simply attach a second rope to it and anchor it to a fixed point such as a tree trunk etc.

-A Bambu Lab project file is included for Bambu Lab owners with settings and color changes already set. (see printing tips below)

IF YOU DECIDE TO PRINT IT LARGER:

As I did for the saloon and other birdhouses, the bottom plate (bottom door) has two types of holes underneath for the support. In its original size, the support will screw into the largest holes.

If you decide to enlarge it, simply enlarge the bird house and its components by 1.33x (133%) but DO NOT enlarge the support!!! Once scaled at 133%, the bracket will screw into the smallest holes once enlarged! So the support remains the same. No need to make it bigger.

However, if you choose another ratio for the enlargement, you will have to enlarge the support to the same ratio. but at 133%, the support can remain at its original size.

Note: At 133%, the m3 screws will have to be changed for m4, and the m4 for m5.

PRINTING TIPS:

-Use at least 4 walls to have a very solid birdhouse. I use 5 most of the time, but 4 is a good compromise.

-The bodies of bees have a very small contact surface with the bed. Use a brim to help with adhesion.

-The stl files for the supports are included in the folder, but are not present in the Bambu Lab project file. For supports, it is highly recommended to print them with at least seven walls and 20% infill.

HARDWARE NEEDED:

You will need (4x) M3x8mm and (4x) M4x12mm screws.
