Remixed model to include a magnetic removeable lid, gauge surround and text, make sure you download the correct files as there are 2 different styles of black_ring and _lid. The magnets required are 4 6x2mm (amazon link below)

Sanded the top, middle and bottom pieces with 180 then 220. Primed with white rustoleum primer and filled any gaps with wood filler. After the first coat dried I then redid the same steps to get a smooth exterior. 

The model is painted in rustoleum Marigold yellow which turned out surprising close to the movie. I used the whole can just so I didn't have a small amount left over, it took about 3 coats. After the paint fully dried I sprayed 2 coats of rustoleum gloss clear to give it a nice touch.

I have also created the text for the side of the canisters. The letters are too small to individually place, as a trick you can try this: 
Minus .1 (eg, if you print at 2.10 set to 2.9) from your Z off-set and place blue painters tape onto the bed, position the text on your slicer to print over the painters tape. Once the text has cooled place another piece of tape over the printed text so it forms a “sandwich”. After removing the tape from the bed, carefully peel the side that was stuck onto the bed and you should be left with a 3D printed sticker. Super glue and place onto the canister while still attached to the tape. Once the glue is dry, carefully remove the tape.
