Tricolor Roundel / RAF symbol

June 1, 2024
Description
A tricolor roundel is a concentric representation of a flag using 3 colors. In my example, it is the UK's Royal Air Force ensign, but it has also been used by Mexico and Italy with green instead of blue, by the USA with red and blue reversed, and in many other cases. Any flag that is tricolor can be represented like this, like Hungary or Germany.
It works as a coaster or just for display.

90 mm diameter
With regular setups, all parts are printed separately, one by one. Each part is named according to the color to use, so you won't get confused.
With MMU, you can print all at once.
You can also get creative outcomes by printing with interesting infills and no top layers, for example!
Parts already include enough tolerance to allow an easy assemble. Very minor cleaning might be necessary for a good fit, especially if your printer produces blobs, zits or elephant foot.
You can glue to a 90 mm circle of cork, felt, wood, or whatever you like, as well as scaling to whatever size you like. Some fellow makers also have added a circle underneath in PrusaSlicer, up to you!
